Treatment of Pain with Acupuncture
Pain caused by overexertion, muscle strain, inflammation, or sports injuries has been treated with acupuncture for many years. Acupuncture has a positive impact on the body's healing process, which is why needles are used to alleviate pain and promote healing. In many cases, acupuncture works immediately, while in others, the treatment may need to be repeated several times to achieve the best results.
Treatment with acupuncture is highly individual. The perception of pain and the extent of injury vary from person to person; hence, a tailored treatment plan is created for each patient. I employ different types of acupuncture for treating pain and injuries, including traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), electro-acupuncture, and acupressure. The type used for the best result depends on several factors.
It is not uncommon for me to use vacuum cups or other devices to enhance blood circulation in the muscles, helping to remove trigger points and waste substances from the area. This approach can help achieve optimal results in treatment.
